Civil engineers produce the facilities on which modern life depends, including roads, bridges, buildings, offshore structures, airports and embankments, as well as the infrastructure required for the supply of clean water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Civil engineering is made up of sub-disciplines including transportation engineering, environmental engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, materials engineering, water resources engineering, geomatics engineering and more. Civil engineering provides a very wide diversity of opportunities!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The civil engineering undergraduate program at the Tamale Technical Faculty of Engineering is rigorous and hands-on. The program is designed to offer undergraduate students a broad-based education in the freshman and a more focused education in the senior years. He had his Master of Science in Road and Transportation Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering; both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering of Tamale Technical University. His research interest includes intelligent transport systems and their application in traffic management and transportation planning and management.
