Entry Requirements for Master&#8217;s Programmes (M.Sc. \/ M.Phil.):<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants who want to pursue our M.Sc. or M.Phil. programmes must satisfy these metrics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Have obtained a good first degree in Bachelor of Science, at least <span style=\"color:#d47a00;\">Second Class Lower<\/span>, in the relevant field of study from a recognized University or Tertiary Institution.<\/li><li>Submit an official transcript of academic records and other relevant documents.<\/li><li>Each applicant shall be required to submit a concept paper on his\/her proposed research topic.<\/li><li>Meet the specific Departmental requirements.<\/li><li>All postgraduate applicants will be required to pass a selection interview to be conducted by the various Schools and Departments.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#006837; margin-top: 25px;\"><strong><u>2. Entry Requirements for Undergraduate Degree Programmes:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WASSCE or SSSCE holders who are seeking to apply for admission into the Degree programmes must have at least <span style=\"color:#d47a00;\">C6 \/ Credit<\/span> in all their three Core and three Elective Subjects. Candidates should therefore possess, at least, credit passes in the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Three Core Subjects:<\/strong> English Language, Mathematics (Core) and Integrated Science or Social Studies.<\/li><li><strong>Any Three Elective Subjects:<\/strong> Such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Mathematics (elective)\/Further Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Business Management, and Accounting, among others.<\/li><li>Should have an <span style=\"color:#d47a00;\">aggregate score of 36 or better<\/span> in the best six subjects (that is, three core subjects listed above and three relevant electives).<\/li><li>Meet the specific Departmental requirements.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#006837; margin-top: 25px;\"><strong><u>3. Entry Requirements for Mature Applicants:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candidates applying under the mature student stream window must satisfy these alternative rules:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Candidates must be <span style=\"color:#d47a00;\">at least 25 years of age<\/span> and must show official documentary evidence of their age.<\/li><li>In addition, must have five (5) G.C.E &#8216;O&#8217; Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and General Science, OR<\/li><li>SSSCE\/WASSCE passes in English Language (Core), Mathematics (Core) and Integrated Science as well as two elective science subjects.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#006837; margin-top: 25px;\"><strong><u>4. Entry Requirements for HND &amp; Diploma Holders:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HND and other Diploma applicants seeking direct admission top-up setups into Degree programmes should possess at least a:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Second Class Lower<\/strong> or better in related programmes, who may be admitted into <span style=\"color:#d47a00;\">Level 200 or Level 300<\/span> depending on departmental assessment.<\/li><li>Third Class or Pass shall be considered for basic admission entry straight into <span style=\"color:#d47a00;\">Level 100<\/span> slots.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#006837; margin-top: 25px;\"><strong><u>5. Entry Requirements for Diploma &amp; Certificate of Technology Tracks:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants entering professional certificate or shorter technical diploma paths must show evidence of the following parameters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Diploma Programmes:<\/strong> Must possess WASSCE grades of <strong>A1\u2013E8<\/strong> in Core English Language, Core Mathematics, and any three (3) elective subjects.<\/li><li><strong>Certificate Programmes:<\/strong> Must possess WASSCE grades of <strong>A1\u2013E8<\/strong> in Core English Language, Core Mathematics, and any three (3) elective subjects relevant to the area.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ffebe6; padding: 15px; border-left: 4px solid #cc0000; margin-top: 25px;\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u26d4 <strong>Applicants with Foreign Certificates:<\/strong> Candidates holding school results from outside of Ghana are strictly required to get them verified by the <strong>Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC)<\/strong> before they can be officially accepted into any course.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Admission Entry Requirements Overview: Please review our official admission standards below carefully before processing your dynamic electronic applications. 1.
