Established to promote holistic development, the Directorate provides academic, personal, and career counselling services that enhance student success and institutional growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#006837; margin-top:25px; border-bottom: 1px solid #e0e0e0; padding-bottom: 5px;\">Mandate and Core Functions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Counselling Services:<\/strong> Individual and group sessions addressing academic, personal, and psychosocial concerns.<\/li><li><strong>Career Guidance:<\/strong> Training, workshops, and employer partnerships to prepare students for the world of work.<\/li><li><strong>Advisory Role:<\/strong> Strategic input to Management on student welfare and institutional policy.<\/li><li><strong>Student Adjustment Support:<\/strong> Helping students adapt to university life and overcome challenges.<\/li><li><strong>Capacity Building:<\/strong> Seminars and training for staff and students on resilience, inclusivity, and leadership.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#006837; margin-top:25px; border-bottom: 1px solid #e0e0e0; padding-bottom: 5px;\">Major Achievements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Successfully handled over <strong>2,700 student counselling cases<\/strong> between 2024\u20132026.<\/li><li>Trained more than <strong>2,200 students<\/strong> in career readiness and employability skills.<\/li><li>Conducted <strong>30+ workshops and seminars<\/strong> with over 300 staff participants.<\/li><li>Pioneered digital counselling platforms to expand accessibility.<\/li><li>Contributed to TaTU\u2019s Strategic Plan (2025\u20132030) and initiated the Career Skills Development Center.<\/li><li>Championed inclusive education initiatives, including disability advocacy and scholarship facilitation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#006837; margin-top:25px; border-bottom: 1px solid #e0e0e0; padding-bottom: 5px;\">Leadership and Recognition<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Directorate is currently led by <strong>Dr. Kingsley Agyei Sarpong<\/strong>, Acting Director and Deputy Registrar (Guidance &amp; Counselling).
