Dr. Lukuman Wahab is the Dean of the faculty of Built and Natural Environment, Tamale Technical University, Tamale in Ghana. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Building Technology. He has previously held the office of the Vice Dean of the faculty and the Head of Department for Building Technology Department. He was also the Examination Officer of the Building Technology Department.  Dr. Wahab is a Corporate Member of Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana.

Education

Dr. Lukuman Wahab received the B.Sc. (Geodetic Engineering) and M.Sc. (Road & Transportation Engineering) degrees from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, in 2001 and 2013, respectively and Ph.D. (Traffic and Transportation Engineering) degree from Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang, China, in 2019.

Work Experience

Dr. Lukuman Wahab taught in Tamale Senior High School from 2004 to 2008 as a Physics Tutor. At the time he was teaching at Tamale Senior High School he also worked as a Part-time Instructor at the Building Technology Department of Tamale Technical University.  Prior to this, he worked as Land Surveyor with a private firm in Nigeria. He resigned from Tamale Senior High School in 2008 and joined Tamale Technical University as an Instructor. He has served in so many committees including Committees for drafting the Curricula for Bachelor of Technology Programmes for the faculty.

Research Interest/Output

Dr. Lukuman Wahab research interests include Public Transport, Traffic Management, and Road Safety. He has done some research in motorcycle crashes, electric motorcycles, vehicle ownership and usage of tricycles in Ghana. He currently has Eleven (11) publications.
