In 2021, the Department of Graphic Communication Design Technology was created from the erstwhile Industrial Art Department as one of the core departments within the newly established Faculty of Creative Arts and Technology. On offer in the Department is the opportunity to interface with an outstanding practitioner-educator faculty and supporting staff with a wide range of experiences in digital design and printing technology, photography, packaging design, audio-visual production, corporate identity design, signage design, just to mention but a few.

More so, our programmes are carefully designed to imbibe in students, the core competences to take up regular entry, mid and senior level communication design positions or venture into the professional practice of graphic communication design-related enterprises.

We aspire to be the national creative hub of choice for training 21st century communication design professionals who can provide responsive communication design solutions to the critical sectors of the economy.
