GERMANY AMBASSADOR ON TaTU CAMPUS TO ENHANCE COLLABORATIONS

  Published : by

The Ambassador of Germany to Ghana H.E Daniel Krull on Thursday 9th February visited the Tamale Technical University (TaTU) to interact with the Management and staff of the University. His visit was a fellow up to earlier discussions he held sometime last year with the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abass Braimah in his residence in Accra.

The Ambassador also used the visit to inspect the Brick Making Machine his Embassy is piloting using TaTu as the implementation institution. Ambassador Krull was highly impressed after visiting the machines which were demonstrated to him by Engineer Talhatu of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The Ambassador took advantage to reveal the high demand for skilled labour in Germany and appealed to the University to continue to pursue the technical programs to meet this gap in his country.
The Vice-Chancellor thanked the Ambassador for honoring his promise to visit the University and also for selecting TaTU for the pilot project. He pledged to continue to effectively and efficiently make use of this opportunity to pilot this brick-making project with rural communities in the Northern Region. He expressed the University’s readiness to continue to partner with the German Embassy and its development agencies.
The Ambassador promised to continue to offer the required support to TaTU in the areas of technical support and personnel.
