As a final year student at Tamale Technical University, he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Management Studies. However, what sets him apart is his unique approach to financing his education by selling coconuts on the university campus.
Abdul Wahab began his coconut-selling venture in his second year as an HND student and has continued to do so until now. Hailing from a village under Walewale, he comes from a humble background, with his parents working as peasant farmers in Nasia, a village in the West Mamprusi District of the North East Region of Ghana.
Abdul Wahab firmly believes in the power of pursuing one’s ideas and dreams. He has shown that even when faced with financial challenges, determination, and resourcefulness can lead to success. By selling coconuts, he not only finances his education but also contributes to the well-being of his fellow students and the entire community.
In addition to his current achievements, Abdul Wahab aspires to further expand his coconut business. His long-term goal is to use the profits from his business to pursue postgraduate studies in Europe, Canada, or the USA. This demonstrates his ambition to not only excel academically but also make a positive impact on a global scale.
