  Published : by

On Thursday 15th June 2023, Tamale Technical University (TaTU) held the first ‘Inclusive Green TVET’ Training workshop supported by GiZ in Ghana. The training workshop was initiated and facilitated by Prof. Dr. Marco Turco, the GiZ Development Officer responsible for TaTU.

The training workshop aimed to promote inclusive and environmentally sustainable Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) practices. It brought together participants from various departments, including Deans and Head of Departments from TaTU, as well as representatives from GiZ in Accra and Takoradi. This collaboration between TaTU and GiZ demonstrates their commitment to enhancing TVET practices in Ghana.

The significance of this event lies in the fact that it was the first of its kind to be held in the country. By focusing on inclusive and green TVET, the workshop likely provided valuable insights and knowledge to the participants, enabling them to implement sustainable practices in their respective areas. Such initiatives contribute to the overall development of the country’s TVET sector and promote a more environmentally conscious approach to technical education.
