The Tamale Technical University (TaTU) community is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of eight precious lives, including two distinguished Cabinet Ministers—Hon. Dr. Murtala Mohammed and Hon. Dr. Edward Omane Boamah in yesterday’s devastating helicopter crash.
This heartbreaking incident has left our nation in mourning, and our hearts are heavy with grief as we reflect on the profound contributions of these selfless individuals. They were visionaries, dedicated public servants, and passionate developmentalists. No doubt that they put their lives on the line in the service of Mother Ghana and humanity as a whole.
Similarly, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, and Mr. Samuel Aboagye were men of great intellect, integrity, and dedication to public service. Their diverse contributions in addressing the developmental challenges of the country have left indelible footprints on Ghana’s development trajectory. They were not just leaders but also mentors and role models whose legacies will continue to guide us. Our late servicemen (the crew) were morally upright officers who had distinguished themselves in the service of Ghana.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of all eight victims. May you find strength and solace in this difficult time. The TaTU community stands in solidarity with the nation as we mourn this irreplaceable loss.
Although they are no longer with us, their vision, service, and patriotism will never be forgotten. May their souls rest in perfect peace.
