About Student Representative Council

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Tamale Technical University (TaTU) is the official representative body of the University’s student population. The SRC serves as a link between students and University Management, providing a platform through which students can express their views, concerns, and aspirations.

The Council is committed to promoting the academic, social, cultural, professional, and general welfare of students while encouraging responsible leadership, unity, discipline, and active participation in University life.

Aim

The aim of the SRC is to represent and promote the legitimate interests and welfare of students while fostering a positive and constructive relationship between the student body and University authorities.

Objectives

The SRC shall seek to:

  1. Represent and advocate for the legitimate interests, rights, and welfare of students.
  2. Serve as an effective communication channel between students and University Management.
  3. Promote academic excellence and support initiatives that enhance students’ educational development.
  4. Organize educational, social, cultural, sporting, and recreational activities for the benefit of students.
  5. Promote unity, inclusiveness, responsible leadership, and peaceful coexistence among students.
  6. Collaborate with recognized student associations, clubs, societies, and other organizations on matters of mutual interest.
  7. Encourage student participation in leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community development.
  8. Promote accountability, transparency, and responsible representation in all SRC activities.
