BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER VISITS TaTU

  Published : by

On May 21st, 2024, Tamale Technical University (TaTU) had the honor of hosting Herriet Thompson, the British High Commissioner, on a visit to our campus. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the British Council project being implemented by TaTU in three key trade areas: Agronomy, Tractor Mechanization, and Farm Enterprise Management. This project is skillfully coordinated by Dr. Mas-ud Mustapha, the Director of the Institute of Agriculture and Environmental Research (IAER).

Following a brief meeting with the university management, the Commissioner engaged with students from various faculties, sharing insights and experiences. She also spoke about the importance of diplomacy, national service opportunities at the British High Commission, and scholarship opportunities available to TaTU students. This visit provided a valuable platform for our students to learn from Her Excellency’s expertise and explore potential opportunities for growth and collaboration.
