Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) Visit Tamale Technical University (TaTU).

The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), a governing body regulating tertiary education has visited Tamale Technical University to enhance the university’s working environment.

The Tamale Technical University has worked under GTECH as a mother Board to ensure good work ethics, success and development of the University.

The visit was led by the Director of GTEC, Professor Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai with his team to meet the university management on January 20, 2025, to understand matters affecting the University and find the necessary solutions to solving those challenges.

The University Management led by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bashiru IBN Saeed welcomed the team with joy, saying that the university was happy to receive them.

Discussion was focused on accreditation and re-accreditation, Prof Abdulai emphasised on the necessary requirements and qualifications for programs accreditation.

The university management raised concerns about lack of infrastructure limitations, decentralisation of work progress , and other matters affecting the university.

Prof Abdulai assured the university of GTEC support and commitment to collaborate efforts and addresses the challenges.

In response, Prof Abdulai cautions all to collaboratively and make progress relating to the challenges raised by management, and assured the University of his support together with his team to make sure that Tamale Technical University would be a greater University with practical professionals for the job market .

Prof. Bashiru IBN Saeed, Vice-Chancellor of the University, applauded the team for their visit and expressed his gratitude towards their efforts to enhance the University development.

However, he pledged to collaborate effectively with his subordinates to work together with GTEC for a better TaTU.
