The Guidance and Counselling Directorate operates as a critical institutional entity with a tripartite mandate of serving students, staff and the wider community. The directorate functions as both a preventive and developmental psychosocial support structure, offering a range of evidence-based interventions designed to enhance academic achievement, emotional well-being, and career preparedness.
The Directorate is headed by Dr Kingsley Agyei-Sarpong a distinguished counselling psychologist, educator, and scholar. He holds (Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Guidance and Counselling., MA-Guidance & Counseling., Bsc Community Nutrition). He is been assisted by an Assistant Registrar Mrs Abu Rakiyatu and a Senior Administrative Assistant Mrs Alhassan Rabiatu

Our mission is to provide a strong psychosocial support to our administrative team, lecturers, and community in preparing Tamale Technical University students to be future ready citizens by providing them, with a very congenial atmosphere for optimal learning to meet their Academic, personal-social and career needs.
