PROF. ABASS OFFICIALLY HANDS OVER TO PROF. BASHIRU IBN SAEED AS THE NEXT VC OF TaTU

Monday, 8th July 2024, the former Vice-Chancellor of Tamale Technical University, Prof. Abass Braimah presented the official handing over statement to the new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bashiru Imoro Ibn Saeed during a brief ceremony at the University’s Council chambers.

The chairman of the Governing Council, Dr. E.A. Abdulai who joined the event via zoom thanked Prof. Abass Braimah for his commitment and dedication during his tenure as the Vice-Chancellor. He appealed to him to put his vast experience to support and guide the new Vice-Chancellor to succeed since he was his Pro Vice Chancellor and they both worked to gather. He advised the new Vice-Chancellor to cultivate the habit of taking advantage of his former boss and also ensure that on going projects in the university are continued and not abandoned as most leaders would do. He encouraged the Management of the university to continue to support the new Vice-Chancellor to enable him achieve his vision. He reminded the new Vice-Chancellor to be firm and resolute in his decisions and dealings with the university. He cautioned him that he would be the only person who would be held responsible for the university and not any other person and therefore should not allow any person to obstruct his authority and activities.

Prof. Abass Braimah used the event to express his appreciation to the university particularly the Management Committee for their support during his tenure. He appealed to the university community to extend similar support to the new Vice-Chancellor.

Alhaji Yakubu Iddrisu, Registrar of the University thanked Prof. Abass Braimah for his service and expressed the gratitude of the University to him. He wished him well in his next step in his career.
