STUDENTS of TaTU TOUR APSONIC MOTORS AND KOUDJI MASH FARM

On August 13th, 2024, the Department of Logistics and Procurement Management in the Faculty of Business organized an educational tour for Level 200 Bachelor of Technology students to Apsonic Motors and Koudji Mash Farm warehouses in Tamale. The tour, which is an integral part of the students’ coursework, provided a unique opportunity for the students to gain practical experience in warehouse management.

During the visit, the students were given in-depth overview of warehouse operations at both facilities. At Apsonic Motors, they observed the efficient organization and management of automotive parts and inventory, learning about the importance of proper storage, stock control, and safety protocols in ensuring smooth operations. The tour of Koudji Mash Farm warehouse further enriched their understanding in the management of agricultural products, with a focus on maintaining quality and minimizing losses through effective inventory management and distribution strategies.

The tour was not only informative but also allowed the students to connect theoretical concepts from their coursework with real-world applications. The hands-on experience provided them with valuable insights into the challenges and best practices of warehouse management, enhancing their preparedness for future careers in the logistics and procurement industry.

The lecturer accompanying the students, Mustapha Abdul-Aziz emphasized the importance of such practical training in bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry practices. and expressed gratitude to the management of Apsonic Motors and Koudji Mash Farm for their cooperation and support in facilitating the educational tour.
