Tamale Technical University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abass Braimah, had the opportunity to travel to Accra and participate in the annual Germany Unity Day from October 3rd to 5th, 2023. This event typically commemorates the reunification of Germany.

During his visit to Accra, Prof. Abass Braimah engaged in several activities related to the event and held meetings and discussions with the German Ambassador to Ghana. Germany Unity Day events often include cultural exchanges, discussions on bilateral relations, and various celebrations.
Additionally, the Vice-Chancellor used the opportunity to visit other corporate organizations the University conducts business with. These involves meetings with potential partners, collaborators, or organizations that provide services or support to Tamale Technical University. Such visits are crucial for building and maintaining relationships that benefit the university’s operations and academic programs.
The Vice-Chancellor met with the Managing Director and some top executives of Zenith Bank PLC, the Managing Director of Enterprise Insurance, the Delegation of European Union in Ghana, the Management of Ghana Standard Authority, and Sunu Insurance Company Limited. Sunu Insurance used the opportunity to present a cheque of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedi (GHS10, 000.00) to the university as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility to the university.
Overall, this trip to Accra seems to have been a valuable opportunity for the Vice-Chancellor to represent the university on an international platform, foster partnerships and engage in important discussions related to German-Ghanaian relations.
