The Department of Computer Science and the Directorate of ICT at Tamale Technical University (TaTU) have hosted fifteen (15) students from seven different universities for their practical and industrial attachment in 2023. The fact that these students come from various universities and primarily study ICT and computer-related programs shows the relevance and quality of the training opportunities provided by TaTU. These universities comprises; UMaT, KATECK, UEW, TaTU, KsTU, CKT-UTAS and UDS.
Mr. Ibrahim Mark, ICT Technician at the Directorate of ICT, is playing a crucial role in guiding these students through practical modeling and programming. It’s clear that TaTU is making a positive impact on these students’ education and career development, helping them gain valuable hands-on experience in their field of study. This kind of practical training is essential for students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, and it’s great to see TaTU contributing to their growth in this way.
Ms. Ogboma Gifty Ogechi, a level 200 student of TaTU and Mr. Zakaria Idrak Pharko a student from UMaT expressed their appreciation and excitement to the Computer Science department and the ICT Directorate for offering the space and time for this academic exercise. They praised the manner in which TaTU handled them and hopes that this gesture will help impact their working life after school.
