Admission Entry Requirements Overview: Please review our official admission standards below carefully before processing your dynamic electronic applications.

1. Entry Requirements for Master’s Programmes (M.Sc. / M.Phil.):

Applicants who want to pursue our M.Sc. or M.Phil. programmes must satisfy these metrics:

• Have obtained a good first degree in Bachelor of Science, at least Second Class Lower, in the relevant field of study from a recognized University or Tertiary Institution.
• Submit an official transcript of academic records and other relevant documents.
• Each applicant shall be required to submit a concept paper on his/her proposed research topic.
• Meet the specific Departmental requirements.
• 🔔 All postgraduate applicants will be required to pass a selection interview to be conducted by the various Schools and Departments.

2. Entry Requirements for Undergraduate Degree Programmes:

WASSCE or SSSCE holders who are seeking to apply for admission into the Degree programmes must have at least C6 / Credit in all their three Core and three Elective Subjects. Candidates should therefore possess, at least, credit passes in the following:

• Three Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics (Core) and Integrated Science or Social Studies.
• Any Three Elective Subjects: Such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Mathematics (elective)/Further Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Business Management, and Accounting, among others.
• Should have an aggregate score of 36 or better in the best six subjects (that is, three core subjects listed above and three relevant electives).
• Meet the specific Departmental requirements.

3. Entry Requirements for Mature Applicants:

Candidates applying under the mature student stream window must satisfy these alternative rules:

• Candidates must be at least 25 years of age and must show official documentary evidence of their age.
• In addition, must have five (5) G.C.E ‘O’ Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and General Science, OR
• SSSCE/WASSCE passes in English Language (Core), Mathematics (Core) and Integrated Science as well as two elective science subjects.

4. Entry Requirements for HND & Diploma Holders:

HND and other Diploma applicants seeking direct admission top-up setups into Degree programmes should possess at least a:

• Second Class Lower or better in related programmes, who may be admitted into Level 200 or Level 300 depending on departmental assessment.
• Third Class or Pass shall be considered for basic admission entry straight into Level 100 slots.

5. Entry Requirements for Diploma & Certificate of Technology Tracks:

Applicants entering professional certificate or shorter technical diploma paths must show evidence of the following parameters:

• Diploma Programmes: Must possess WASSCE grades of A1–E8 in Core English Language, Core Mathematics, and any three (3) elective subjects.
• Certificate Programmes: Must possess WASSCE grades of A1–E8 in Core English Language, Core Mathematics, and any three (3) elective subjects relevant to the area.
