Social Life on Campus

(a) Social Life on Campus

The social life of students at Tamale Technical University (TaTU) is supported through the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), recognized student associations, clubs, societies, and other approved student bodies.

The SRC coordinates major student activities and serves as a link between students and University authorities. Recognized student organizations may also organize academic, cultural, religious, social, and recreational activities in accordance with University regulations.

(b) Sports and Recreational Activities

The University provides facilities and opportunities for students to participate in various sporting and recreational activities. Students are encouraged to take part in sports and other extracurricular activities as part of their overall development.

Available sporting activities may include football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, and other approved recreational activities, subject to the facilities and programmes available on campus.

Students participating in sporting and recreational activities are expected to use University facilities responsibly and comply with all applicable rules and safety requirements.

(c) Student Clubs and Associations

Students are encouraged to join recognized clubs, societies, religious organizations, departmental associations, and other student groups that support their academic, professional, cultural, social, and personal development.

All student organizations operating on campus shall be duly recognized and shall conduct their activities in accordance with the University’s policies and regulations.

(d) Restaurant and Canteen Services

Tamale Technical University provides access to food and refreshment services through designated canteens, food vendors, and other approved service providers on and around the University campus.

These facilities provide students and staff with a variety of meals and refreshments at reasonable prices. Students are expected to maintain cleanliness and observe appropriate conduct when using these facilities.

The University may regulate food vendors and catering services operating on campus to ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, hygiene, and institutional requirements.
