Office of the Director of Finance

The Office takes charge of the University’s finances and ensures that proper books of accounts; which includes annual financial statements, budgets statements and other financial reports are kept. The office has two Deputy Finance Directors namely, Mr. Abu Yakubu (CA (GH), MBA- Acct., B, Ed- Social Sciences-Acct., Cert. in Costing & Pricing) and Alhaji Shakuru Baba (MSc-Accounting and Finance, ACCA (UK), BSc-Adm., BSc Applied Accounting. There are also ten Assistant Accountants in the Office who perform various functions. They are Ms. Ramlatu Kadri (MBA-Accounting & Taxation, BCom, HND-Acct), Mr. Mohammed Tijani (CEMBA, B. Com, HND- Acct) Mr. Abubakari Mohammed (CA (GH), MSc-Accounting & Finance, B. Com-Accounting HND- Accountancy Dip-Ed), Mr. Abdulai Musah (CA (GH), MSc-Accounting & Finance, BSc- Accounting Education, HND-Accountancy, Dip-Basic Ed.) and Mr. Mohammed Ismael (MSc-Accounting & Finance, BSc-Accounting, HND-Accountancy).

The rest are Mr. Eliot Gasu (MSc-Accounting & Finance, B. Com, HND-Accountancy), Mr. Baba Sharif Bala (MSc-Local Government Finance Mgt., B. Com), Mr. Iddrisu Abubakari Kamara (M. Com, BTech- Accounting with Computing, HND-Accountancy, DBS- Accounting), Mr. Abdul Razak Yussif (CA (GH), MSc-Accounting & Finance, B. Com), Ms. Al-hassan Shafawu (CA (GH), MSc-Accounting & Finance, BSc-Accounting). The office also has a Deputy Registrar, Mr. Banayen Robert Anamuweh, (MSc – Organizational Development, MBA – Entrepreneurship & Small Enterprise Development, BMS, HND – Acct). There are a number of Senior Staff with various grades in the Directorate.
