About Directorate of ICT
The Directorate of ICT Services (DICTS) is responsible for the provision, deployment, and management of robust information and communication technology services for both staff and students. The Directorate provides strategic professional recommendations regarding the university’s acquisition of software and hardware, while overseeing the comprehensive maintenance of Tamale Technical University’s total IT infrastructure.
Administration
The Director is supported by Mr. Adam Wahab Legma (MSc-Software Engineering, BA-IT Security, Advanced Dip-Computer Networking), Assistant ICT Officer, and Mr. Odai Edward Afotey (MBA-HRM, BSc-Marketing, HND-Marketing), Junior Assistant Registrar.
Sectional Hierarchy
To ensure optimal institutional support, the technical workflows of the Directorate are structured into three specialized operational sections:

- Enterprise Systems Section: Led by Mr. Mohammed Nurideen Alhassan (MSc-Software Engineering, BSc-ICT, Dip-Network Engineering). The section is supported by junior officers: Mr. Inuwah Muhammad (MPhil-Computer Science, BSc-Computer Science), Mr. Albert Rod (MPhil-Computer Science, BSc-Mechanical Engineering), and Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Sobur Sibdoo (BSc-Computer Science).
- Cybersecurity Section: A newly established operational wing headed by Mr. Mohammed Mahfouz Alhassan (MSc–Software Engineering, BSc–Information Technology) and supported by Mr. Salim.
- Networking Section: Headed by Mr. Felix Kipo (MSc-Information Technology, BTech-Building Technology, HND-Building Technology, Dip-Computer Science). The network operations are executed by junior staff: Mr. Mark Ibrahim (MPhil-Computer Science, BSc-Computer Science) and Mr. Alhassan Ibrahim.
- Hardware Section: Headed by Mr. Alhassan Abdul Samed (MSc-Information Technology, BBA-Marketing, HND-Marketing, Advanced Cert.-IT).
