Misconduct of Students

A student of Tamale Technical University (TaTU) shall be considered to have committed misconduct if he or she:

(a) Is absent from lectures, practical sessions, examinations, or other prescribed academic activities without prior permission or a valid and reasonable justification.

(b) Engages in insubordination, disrespect, or deliberate refusal to comply with lawful instructions issued by authorized University officials.

(c) Engages in anti-social or unlawful activities, including stealing, smoking, gambling, fighting, stalking, drunkenness, molestation, harassment, or any other conduct that may damage the reputation and image of the University, whether on or off campus.

(d) Cheats, attempts to cheat, assists another person to cheat, or engages in any form of examination malpractice.

(e) Fails to attend or properly participate in an approved industrial attachment, internship, or other practical training programme without permission or a reasonable excuse.

(f) Engages in any other conduct that violates the statutes, regulations, policies, or disciplinary rules of Tamale Technical University.
