Registration

STUDENT REGISTRATION AND RELATED MATTERS

New Students (Freshmen)

Upon admission to Tamale Technical University (TaTU), all newly admitted students shall complete the required registration processes through the University’s Student Portal.

Students shall follow the prescribed online registration procedures, including the submission and verification of required information and documents. Where necessary, students may be required to visit their respective Departments, Faculties, or other designated University offices for verification or additional registration formalities.

All new students shall pay the prescribed fees and charges as approved by the University before completing their registration.

Continuing Students

Continuing students shall complete their registration through the TaTU Student Portal after fulfilling all required academic, financial, and administrative formalities.

Students shall ensure that their registration is completed within the period specified by the University.

Payment of Fees

Students with outstanding fees or other financial obligations to the University shall settle such obligations through banks or other payment channels approved by the University before completing their registration.

Students shall be required to meet the applicable financial requirements before they can complete their academic and accommodation registration.

Fraud and Misrepresentation

Any student who gains admission to Tamale Technical University through fraudulent means, false information, forged documents, or misrepresentation may have the admission withdrawn and may be subject to disciplinary action and/or prosecution in accordance with applicable University regulations and the laws of Ghana.

Voluntary Withdrawal

A student who wishes to voluntarily withdraw from the University before completing his or her programme shall submit a written notice of withdrawal to the Registrar through the Head of Department and Dean/appropriate academic authority.

The student shall provide at least four (4) weeks’ written notice before the intended date of withdrawal and complete all required clearance procedures.

Failure to follow the prescribed withdrawal procedure may affect the student’s academic and administrative status and may have implications for future admission to the University.

A student in good standing who has voluntarily withdrawn and subsequently wishes to return to the University shall submit a written application through the Head of Department and Dean/appropriate academic authority to the Registrar.

Such a student shall give at least one (1) semester’s notice before the proposed date of return. Re-admission shall be subject to the University’s applicable regulations, programme availability, and approval by the appropriate University authorities.
