TaTU SET TO HOST THE 2ND GHATUSA GAMES NEXT WEEK

On Friday 4th November 2022 the Publicity and Media Committee for the Second Edition of the Ghana Technical Universities Sports Association (GHATUSA) Games met with a section of Sports Journalist on the campus of Tamale Technical University (TaTU).

The Committee among other things was to interact and brief the Journalists on preparations ahead of the opening of the games.

The Chairman for the Committee who is also the Director of Public Affairs of University, Mr. Osman Mubarik Abu outlined the various sporting disciplines that are scheduled to be competed for. He announced that all the ten Technical Universities in the country have fully signed on to participate in this November games which would be hosted by TaTU. He revealed that the various Local Organizing Committees (LOCs) are working tirelessly to ensure that this year’s games are competitive and historic.

The Publicity Committee assured the public and the participating Universities that, the TaTU Management is dedicated and therefore currently renovating and upgrading all the sporting facilities within the University and outside to meet the standards required for each discipline.

Mr. Osman charged the Sports Journalists to support the host institution by marketing the tournament to the whole of the north and Ghana at large.

He mentioned football men and women, volleyball, basketball, handball, badminton, tennis, athletics and many other games are expected to be played in this Second edition of the GHATUSA Games.

 

The Committee assured the public of the adequate security measures to be put in place to protect both the visiting teams and the public during the games.

They appealed to both the students and the general public to make time to patronize the games during this tournament.

 

The games are expected to commence from 11th to 20th November, 2022 at the Sports Arena of TaTU.
