Biography
Professor Abukari Abdul Aziz Danaa is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology at Tamale Technical University, Ghana. He has over 17 years of experience in higher education, with expertise in teaching, research, academic leadership, and university administration.
He holds a PhD in Computational Mathematics from the University for Development Studies, an MSc in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University, India, and a BSc in Mathematical Sciences (Computer Science Option) from the University for Development Studies.
Professor Danaa’s research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Database Systems, and Computational Mathematics. His work focuses on developing intelligent computational solutions to address practical challenges across education, healthcare, cybersecurity, and other application domains.
Throughout his career, he has held several strategic leadership positions at Tamale Technical University, including Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, Head of the Department of Textile Technology, Head of the Department of Computer Science, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, University Examinations Officer, and Hall Master of Aggrey Hall. Through these roles, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, research, innovation, and institutional development.
